Memories of a Decade

Happy New Year Everyone! I can't believe it's been a decade already and what a decade it has been?

I'm certain everyone has their memories. Some good, some bad and some not so good too. I have mine and I wanted to share some of them with you.

2000 -I became a mom. That was and still is, the best thing that happened to me.Nothing else comes close.

2000-Remember all the hype about computers and all other gadgets going down with the Y2K bug?

2001-I remember September 11th...that still makes me very sad.

2002- My first nephew was born.

2003- We moved homes/ my daughter started preschool.

2004- Ventured into MLM.( That is a whole blog post by itself)

2005- I discovered my vocation.

This gives you an idea of how it's been for me. Most of my memories are "mom" memories. Some of my memories were not so good but I'm very thankful.

I'm thankful for the good, the bad, the drive-me-crazy,I want-to-pull-my-hair-out, memories that come with being alive.

It is with this heart of thanksgiving that I accept 2010 as a gift. A gift and also an opportunity to be my best self each day.

I'm thankful for all of you. I really am.

What are your memories? What are you thankful for?

  1. This is the best way to begin a New Year, by showing appreciation of the past. I have three daughters, and I wouldn't give back not one of the hair graying episodes they've subjected me to. They're good girls and do very well in school, so I'm always thankful.

I'm following you now, would you follow me as well. I came across your blog on MBC. Hi.

  2. Thanks Kevin. Since the past is sometimes tied to the future, it is necessary we're thankful for our past.

  3. My memory: On December 25, 2009, in addition to celebrating Christmas Day, I became the mother of a legal adult. My baby girl turned 18! (sniff, sniff)

(I'm found you and am following from the Mom Bloggers Club.)
